Company HistoryJames H. Bodell, a carpenter and project superintendent for over 25 years, founded Bodell Construction in 1972 with his son, Michael J. Bodell, Sr.
The firm began with constructing small commercial buildings and church meeting houses with significant success. This led to more diversified efforts with federal government, private developer and municipal government opportunities in the 1980's and early 1990's.
In the late 1980's, the firm diversified further by starting an industrial construction company called Bodell-Wheelwright. This firm found success by specializing in areas such as water treatment plants and mining facilities. Some ten years later, The Bodell-Wheelwright operation was absorbed into Bodell Construction as an industrial division and now pursues power generation and oil and gas projects in addition to mining and water treatment. Bodell's Commercial Division has continued to complete a wide spectrum of projects across many markets including office buildings, retail centers, military buildings, luxury condominiums, research laboratories, and convention centers. |
