This 162,000 square foot shopping center consists of ten loft-shell buildings of one and two-story heights surrounding an inner courtyard. It includes developed common areas, elevators, restrooms, corridors, food court area, and loading dock. The site includes a 545-stall parking lot, hardscape incorporating stamped and colored concrete, rock and brick pavers, landscaping, and site lighting.

This project consisted of the renovation of the existing cafe dining area, which would be turned into a 1,400 square foot dining area. The project included new ADA compliant restrooms, a new passenger elevator including a waterproof elevator pit due to groundwater levels, new food service area, food service equipment packages, and high-end finishes selected by a Beverly Hills interior designer.

This 23,620 square foot grocery store is a new concept for ABC Stores and was designed to meet area demands from tourists and local residents. It combines ABC's successful convenience store format with full-service grocery and specialty departments, a wine bar, sushi restaurant, deli and coffee house. Shopping for both vacationers and Big Island residents is convenient because of their Queen's Marketplace location at Waikoloa Beach Resort less than a mile after exiting the highway.

A primary objective of this project was to keep the existing shopping center open during all three phases of construction.

Phases 1 & 2 consisted of site work & underground utilities, as well as the majority of the main retail store, outdoor sales area, customer service area and administrative offices. These phases also included the majority of the mall spaces, initial landscaping work, and the completion of the parking lots.

Phase 3 included the construction of the food court and the build-out of the center's vendor spaces. Also included in this final phase was the parking control system, the balance of the landscaping and a large parking lot on the north side of the building. Throughout construction, Bodell built and maintained temporary entrances and walkways for the facility. The client is very happy with the project, resulting in Bodell Construction receiving an excellent review from AAFES.

A 1,000 square foot, high-end jewelry store located at the Kings' Shops at the Waikoloa Resort on the Big Island's Kohala Coast. The project had tight budget constraints and an even tighter project schedule. Bodell's team was able to complete the project on time and meet the owner's quality expectations.

Bodell Construction completed construction of a new 210,000 square foot Supercenter for Wal-Mart, Inc. in Reno, Nevada on a 20+ acre site.

The Waikoloa Highlands Center is an upscale retail and commercial center consisting of prime office space, retail outlet stores, a supermarket, a service station, and restaurant space.

Bodell Construction has completed construction of a new 50,000 square foot grocery addition and renovation to the existing 170,000 square foot store. Also included were two new store entrances.

This project is a 55,000 square foot grocery store that required extensive landscaping and specialized finishes over an 18 acre site, including the preservation of an established wetland area.
