MAHINAHINA WATER TREATMENT PLANT

This treatment plant contract involved the construction of a new 20 million gallon pre-sedimentation/equalization reservoir with cover, and a new 2.5 MGD surface water treatment plant. Included in this contract were mechanical rapid mix basins, mechanical flocculation basins, filtration basins, a building with an air backwash blower system, a buried 2.0 million gallon concrete finished water reservoir with chlorine contact channel, a .1 million gallon bolted steel backwash water tank and the tank supply pumps. An operations building was constructed with offices, limited laboratory, maintenance room, electrical room, utilities room and fire protection system. All ancillary equipment, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation systems, associated piping, appurtenances and site work were also included in the contract.

LAIE WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY EXPANSION

This contract was for the expansion of the existing facility to a design average flow of 0.9 mdg. The expansion included the installation of 9,000 cubic yards of concrete, new headworks, two new and two retrofitted circular activated sludge secondary treatment plant units. New chemical storage, feed equipment, effluent filters, sludge storage tanks, sludge dewatering building and a concrete slab area for co-composing of dewater sludge and green waste were also included in this contract. New administration and maintenance buildings were also constructed.

JORDAN AQUADUCT TERMINAL RESERVOIR

The Jordan Aquaduct Terminal Reservoir Expansion consisted of the addition of 67 million gallons of water to the existing water reservoir. It can now store 100 million gallons of finished water. Construction included 30,000 cubic yards of concrete and 3,200 tons of reinforced steel.
