Michael J. Bodell, Sr.

President and CEO

Mr. Bodell is responsible for the overall corporate management of the company. His intense management focus and 40 years of practice has made Bodell Construction Company one of the most experienced and financially stable general contractors in the Intermountain and Hawaii regions. He also has over ten years of experience in developing real estate properties in several western states.

Michael J. Bodell II

Executive Vice President

Mr. Bodell provides leadership and management expertise to ensure the appropriate corporate resources are available to consistently meet our clients' expectations. He brings about successful project results from regular client communication, consistent application of managerial best practices, and a combination of practical field experience and formal education. Michael has extensive on-site labor and management experience in addition to his present position in corporate administration. In addition to construction operations, he oversees company performance objectives, and coordinates regular operational improvement efforts. He has 10 years of administrative, estimating and project management experience, and a B.A. in Finance.

Ryan Park

Project Director

AAs a Project Director, Mr. Park will lead projects which require extensive Preconstruction, Engineering, Procurement and Construction effort (EPC) as well as Design-Build support. He will lead and coordinate these pursuits with our Estimating and Client Services teams. His principal market segment focus will include Power Generation, Emission Control Facilities and Fueling Systems. Mr. Park is a third generation contractor and has over 20 years in the commercial and industrial construction industries. He spent his early years working in the family business before being prompted by his father to consider charting his own course. Throughout his career, Mr. Park has established himself as being capable in a variety of roles and assignments and has participated in all phases of construction – from business development and cost estimating to buyout, planning, and execution. Mr. Park contributes value engineering suggestions towards alternate construction options, equipment systems and material selections, which often generate substantial cost savings. He can successfully utilize industry standard and select specialty software. His knowledge in all facets of construction provides Bodell Construction’s clients with a competitive edge. Throughout his experiences, his passion for the work has permitted a continued standard of quality and integrity to be upheld. These self-imposed expectations and team leadership skills have led to many successful relationships with project teams and crews, clients, end users, as well as design and engineering partners.

David Freston

Client Services Director

As Client services Director, Mr. Freston is responsible for making sure that communication lines with the owner are always clear. His role is to listen to the concerns of our clients and to address the specific needs of each individual project. With over 25 years of experience in the construction, business development and customer service fields, Mr. Freston has led teams on many major projects throughout the Intermountain West. He is also responsible for overseeing and implementing all business development and marketing activities within the company. His experience includes extensive Preconstruction, LEED, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Best Practices and Management training. He also represents Bodell Construction throughout the community through affiliations with numerous boards and associations.

Dan Bodell

Hawaii Operations Director

Mr. Bodell has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. He has shown continuous advancement through quality control, superintendent, project manager estimator, to vice president in a medium sized construction company and then moving on to Project Officer for the capitol improvements of Washington State University's Vancouver campus. Mr. Bodell is well versed and well rounded in all phases of construction. His core value of customer satisfaction fuels his leadership of all Hawaii operations.

Krey Ellis

Finance & Accounting Director

Mr. Ellis directs the accounting department and provides expertise in the areas of financial reporting, internal controls, and general office administration. He assists with the development and implementation of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure. Prior to joining Bodell, Mr. Ellis gained extensive experience in the construction industry having worked on large-scale commercial projects exceeding $2 billion in contract value. His educational background includes an MBA from Utah State University and a B.S. in Accounting from Weber State University. He holds a CPA license in Utah.

Robert Mayer

Operations Director

Bob has more than 20 years of industry experience and has a strong background in all aspects of construction, including project management, estimating, scheduling, change order negotiations, field construction, project closeout and budgeting. Through his successful involvement in these various aspects of construction, Bob has become a peak performer in the industrial construction industry and is a valuable addition to the Bodell team. As Project Director, Bob is directly responsible for owner relations and construction activities. Bob graduated from Marquette University in 1993 with a BS in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration.

Jeff Hopkins

Quality Assurance Director

Mr. Hopkins has more than 30 years of industry experience and has a strong background in all aspects of construction, including survey & site layout, mechanical & structural layout, project scheduling, cost accounting & estimating, and site management. Through his successful involvement in these various aspects of construction, Jeff has become a peak performer in the industrial construction industry and is a valuable addition to the Bodell team. As the Quality Assurance Director, Jeff assures that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence established by the Owner.
