Congratulations to the Western Division on the project win in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This work encompasses construction of a DoD Type III Pump Shelter to accommodate fuel pumps, associated equipment, a Control Room, support spaces and modification to the air field pavement, 2 existing 2,500 barrel tanks and an additional 4,000 barrel tank (168,000 gallons), containment and controls in connection with various mission critical activities for the 145th Airlift Wing. With the hydrant system about 450 gallons a minute can be transferred via 5 hydrant P4 locations to the C-17 (heavy lift jets), which reduces the overall refueling time by half, compared to the current truck refueling method. Bodell Construction’s ace team is prepping now for project start up and is expected to be completed by December 2020.
